WaxAssistant Privacy Policy

📋Overview

WaxAssistant (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is a material and tool management application designed for handmade candle enthusiasts. The App helps you record and organize wax materials, fragrances, dyes, molds, and crafting tools — with category management, inventory tracking, usage logs, maintenance reminders, and batch entry.

This Privacy Policy describes how the App handles information in connection with your use of it.

🔍Information We Collect

The App does not collect any personal information, including but not limited to:

• Identity information such as name, email address, or phone number
• Device identifiers (e.g., IDFA, IDFV, or advertising IDs)
• Location data
• Contacts or calendar entries
• Usage behavior, session data, or analytics
• Any information that could be used to identify you personally

💾Local Data Storage

To deliver the full inventory management experience, the App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Material Records: Wax types, fragrances, dyes, and other materials you add, including brand, quantity, purchase date, and notes
• Tool Records: Molds, tools, and equipment you register, along with maintenance cycles and status
• Inventory Logs: Stock consumption records and usage history for each material and tool
• Photos: Images of materials or tools you take or select, stored only on your device and never uploaded
• Reminder Settings: Your configured low-stock alerts, material expiry reminders, and tool maintenance schedules
• Statistics: Usage summaries and inventory analytics computed entirely on-device

All of the above data is stored solely on your device and is never uploaded to any server or shared with any third party. We have no ability to read or access this data. Uninstalling the App will permanently erase all locally stored data.

🔗Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics platforms, advertising SDKs, or data tracking services (such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, Amplitude, etc.).

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. When you download or purchase the App, Apple may collect certain information in accordance with its own privacy policy, which is outside the scope of this document. 📡Network & System Permissions

The App does not require a network connection and works fully offline. No user data is transmitted to or from any external server.

The App may request the following system permissions for specific features:

• Camera: Used solely to photograph materials and tools for your inventory records. Photos are stored only on your device and never uploaded or shared.
• Photo Library: Used solely to allow you to select existing photos for material or tool profiles. No photos are transmitted externally.
• Push Notifications: Used solely to deliver low-stock alerts, material expiry reminders, and tool maintenance notifications that you configure. All notification content is generated locally on your device.

The App does not request the following permissions:

• Location services
• Contacts or calendar access
• Microphone

👶Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable international regulations.

Since the App collects no user data whatsoever, parents and guardians may allow children to use the App without any privacy concerns.

🔒Data Security

Since the App does not collect or transmit any user data, there is no risk of a data breach originating from our side. All locally stored inventory records, photos, and reminder settings are protected by the iOS system sandbox mechanism.

You retain full control over your data. You may edit or delete individual records within the App, or uninstall the App at any time to permanently erase all associated local data.

📝Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable law. When significant changes are made, we will notify you via an in-app notice or by updating the App Store product page.

Your continued use of the App after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically for the latest information.

⚖️Your Rights

Because the App does not collect any personal data, there is no need to submit a data access, correction, or deletion request to us. You remain the sole owner and controller of all data stored on your device.

You can manage your local data in the following ways:

• Edit or delete individual material records, tool entries, and photos within the App
• Uninstall the App to permanently erase all local data
